The entrance fee for Rinjani has been raised from 150,000 IDR per person per day to 200,000 IDR per person per day, effective from November 1, 2024, to December 31, 2025. As of November 2024, the ticket price will be 200,000 IDR per day per client.

Mount Rinjani Closed

  1. Mount Rinjani has remained closed to climbers following the 6.4 magnitude earthquake that struck at 06:47 local time on 29 July 2019. The earthquake triggered an avalanche on the path to Segara Anak Lake, leading to the death of a climber from Makassar, Indonesia, and caused the collapse of a house in Sajang village, east Lombok Sembalun sub-district, resulting in the death of a Malaysian climber.
  2. Mount Rinjani will be closed to visitors from the 1st of January 2025 and will reopen from the 1st of April 2025 until the 31st of December 2025.
